REPORT

MOLANDS   As with all the pools the fishing has been best in the afternoon or late evening with down the edge fishing with corn, pellet or meat producing the best results and carp to 15lb and F1’s to 4lb coming out.  During the day, pellet feeder or method to the island with punched meat, banded hard 6mm pellet or white boilies is working best.  On the windy days long pole and pellet fished shallow has also produced good nets.  Top pegs 1 – 4, 10 – 15, 19, 27, 31, 41 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS   Carp anglers are catching lots of fish from 8lb – 18lb fishing big boilies or PVA bags out to the middle stumps.  Pleasure anglers have found fishing close down the margins with meat or corn productive for carp and big skimmers.  On the matches, the best catches this week have come to straight lead and 8mm pellet fished at around 25 metres.  Top pegs have been 7 – 15, 19 – 21, 29, 31 – 33 and 36.

PACKINGTON SOMERS FISHERY

LITTLE GEARYS   A bit of a mixed week with good catches on some days and then dropping off the rest.  Match weights to over 80lb this week and pleasure anglers reporting good nets too.  Shallow pole and pellet remains the best tactic with but fishing down the near margin with corn, pellet or meat is also producing big nets.  Top pegs are 3, 7 – 13, 21, 27 and 29.

GRATUITIES   Gratuities has been very inconsistent this week, with one day fishing very well and the next hard.  On the good days, big nets of tench and carp have been caught with float fishing corn or pellet working well on a small pellet feeder fished tight up to the island.  Carp to 15lb and tench to 5lb reported this week.  Top pegs 1, 4, 8, 9 – 11 and 15.

WILLOW   Probably the most consistent pool this week with good catches of F1’s and smaller carp being caught.  Pellet feeder or waggler to the middle island is the best tactic but later in the day margin fishing corn has produced lots of decent sized carp.  Best pegs are 1, 5, 6 and 12.

ANNIVERSARIES   Good mixed nets of F1’s, carp, skimmers, tench and crucians are coming to expander pellet or caster.  The bigger carp are being caught on corn, boilies or meat fished under the overhanging bushes on pegs 1 – 4 with fishing to 18lb reported this week.
