REPORT
MOLANDS   Although Molands is still a little bit patchy, there have been some good nets of fish caught this week with bags of F1’s and carp to 50lb caught by match and pleasure anglers alike.  Pellet feeder fished across to the island is the top tactic with punched bread, meat or soft pellet on the hook.  Best pegs have been 4, 19, 23 – 27, 43, 48 and 52 – 58.

GEARYS   Just the odd carp out at the moment with the skimmers providing the best sport and catches to 20lb+ have been caught this week.  Pole fished pellet or chopped worm and caster have accounted for the better catches.  Best pegs are 7 – 13, 16, 27 and 31 – 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   This pool was in decent form last week with catches to nearly 50lb.  F1’s have been providing the most action but an increasing number of carp were caught with fish to 10lb showing.  With the very high winds, the pellet feeder fished across to the far side or just down the far shelf has been the top tactic with small baits such as 4mm pellet, banded or single pieces of punched bread.  Best pegs are 3 – 13 and 25 – 29.

WILLOW   The most popular pool for pleasure anglers this week and for most it fished very well with F1’s, carp and skimmers showing in numbers.  Bomb and bread or pellet feeder fished to the island has been working well or pole fished maggot or pellet at around 10 metres.  Top pegs 1, 5 – 8 and 11.

GRATUITIES   The far end of the pool on pegs 1 – 3 and 14 – 16 have been the better pegs with plenty of carp showing in the 1 – 3lb range with the odd bigger fish to 8lb and corn or pellet fished down the edge have been the best baits.  Some big perch were caught as well with fish to 3lb coming to worm or caster.
