The wind spoilt the day again for most for presenting anything on the pole, the winner Nigel Shipman alternated between the pellet fished on the bomb and a small cage feeder with micros cast to the island from peg 35 landing 14 carp – 10lb throughout the match fishing with a total of 73lb 7oz. In second Danny fished a small cage feeder with pellet cast tight to the island at peg 39 also landing 14 carp – 7lb and a respectable 62lb 3oz.

A very low attendance maybe due to the forecast of a big storm, but it was just a normal day with strong gusting winds and rain. Andy Lakey was back in the top spot drawn at peg 39 he fished a small pellet feeder cast to the island landing one 4lb bream and 7 carp – 6lb and winning with 31lb 2oz 2nd was Mick Langton fishing the pole on two lines with pellet at 9m landing 3 carp – 6lb and 6 bream – 5lb.

This silver fish match is steadily growing with more anglers taking part, the winner was Woodseats Angling boss Mark Holmes drawn on the end peg 24 he fished the pole and caster on the deck at 12m loose feeding with the catty over the top he landed a steady stream of roach, skimmers and ide – 12oz. In second place again John Holmes (no relation) fished the pole and maggot over ground bait for 11lb 8oz of skimmers and roach – 8oz.
