REPORT
MOLANDS   The top tactic on Molands has been to fish paste close in along the near margin for F1’s, tench and skimmers and nets to over 90lb have come to this in matches.  Pellet feeder tight across to the island is accounting for the better catches of carp with fish to double figures coming out on banded hard pellet.  Best pegs are 8 – 10, 17 – 21, 29 – 33, 42 – 48 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS   Gearys fished really well early in the week with over 100lb needed to win matches but got a little patchy towards the weekend.  The best tactics have been to fire 8mm pellets at 20 – 30 metres out and fish either the bomb or pellet waggler over the topPaste down the edge or chopped worm and caster at 10 metres on the pole have also been working well.  Best pegs are 1, 6, 9 – 13, 17, 19 – 21, 28 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   The most consistent pool at the moment with catches to over 120lb caught in matches and good back up weights from around the pool.  Lots of tactics are working with pole and pellet shallow.  Method feeder fished tight to the island or meat/paste and pellet fished down the near margin all producing good nets.  F1’s have been the main target species but last week a larger number of carp in the 3 – 6lb bracket were caught.  Top pegs are 3, 5 – 11, 15, 19, 21 and 23 – 29.

GRATUITIES   Lots of carp in the 2 – 5lb range being caught on the feeder fished right up to the island with polony, punched bread or hard pellet on the hook.  Good mixed catches are coming to the pole fished either short at 3 – 4 metres or long at 11 – 13 metres.  Best pegs are 1 – 4, 8 – 11 and 16.

ANNIVERSARIES    Fishing well for mixed nets of skimmers, F1’s, tench, barbel and small carp with float fished pellet or caster the best approach.  Fishing tight up to the island or features has been best with pegs 1, 2, 6, 9, 11, 20 and 22 fishing well.

WILLOW    Willow is in good form with plenty of fish coming out to a variety of methods.  Carp and F1’s from 1 – 3lb are coming to the feeder fished to the island.  Pole and pellet is working well for mixed catches and the bigger carp are being caught, either off the top with dog biscuit or down the edge with paste or corn.

SIBLINGS   Some good carp caught this week with fish to 18lb coming to either biscuit or big expanders fished on the top and paste or meat fished down the margins.  Lots of skimmers and crucians are being caught on pellet or small pieces of meat fished over micros.
