FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS In terrific form again this week with match weights to over 150lb caught. The carp are showing well with fish to 12lb being caught on pellet/method feeder fished tight to the island or pellet waggler again tight up to the far bank. F1’s to 5lb are coming on the pellet fished shallow or down the edge with caster. Top pegs are 2, 10, 17 – 23, 29, 42 – 48 and 54 – 60.

GEARYS Although there have been weights to over 130lb in matches it has been a lot patchier on Gearys this week with the carp looking as if they are going to spawn again. Bomb and pellet remains the main approach but pole fished corn down the margins is also providing some decent catches Meat or expander pellet is working best for mixed nets on the pole. Top pegs are 9, 11 – 13, 16, 19, 21, 27 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Very consistent with good nets of F1’s, carp and crucians coming from all areas. Pellet feeder to the island with dead reds or meat on the hook is working well and shallow pole and pellet is also accounting for plenty of fish. Top pegs have been 3, 5, 7 – 11, 17, 21, 23 and 26 – 30.

GRATUTIES Pleasure anglers have enjoyed the best of Grats this week with carp, tench, crucians, skimmers and barbel being caught. Feeder to the island is the best tactic but plenty of fish are being caught shallow on the pellet waggler. Best pegs are 1, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 16.

ANNIVERSARIES Pellet, caster, maggot or corn have all been giving anglers lots of bites with F1’s, carp and tench showing around the pool. A small waggler up to the islands and the pole fishing into the open water were the been the best tactics. Top pegs are 2 – 6, 10, 17, 19 and 23.

SIBLINGS A Fished well this week with the pole or a small waggler fished against the island with meat or banded hard pellet working best for carp to 9lb and F1’s to 4lb. Best pegs are 1 – 5and 17 – 22.

SIBLINGS B Hard pellet, expander pellet or caster fished over micros or the long pole at 14 metres to the far bank or short at 5 metres have been catching lots of F1’s to 2lb and carp to 3lb.

WILLOW The better carp are being caught off the top or shallow with the pellet waggler and a few doubles have been caught this week but most are between 3 and 5lb. Plenty of fish are coming to a pellet feeder fished tight to the island.
