REPORT

MOLANDS  Molands is very much up and down at the moment fishing well one day and hard the next.  The last couple of hours in the day have been best with the bigger carp coming round the margins and fish to 14lb have been caught on paste or pellet down the near edge.  Best tactics in matches have been the straight lead and 8mm pellet fished across to the island and paste down the first shelf.  Top pegs have been 2, 8, 12, 15 – 19, 43 – 46 and 54 – 60.

GEARYS    Some cracking carp being caught with fish to over 16lb weighed in on matches and plenty of fish in the 6 – 8lb range.  Pellet waggler or straight lead and pellet have accounted for the better fish.  The fresh water gone in over the latter part of the week helped get the skimmers to feed better and bags to 50lb were caught with pellet, paste or corn accounting for the better catches.  Best pegs are 9 – 13, 17 – 20, 29, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS    Match weights were down a little in the week with the changeable conditions not helping.  F1’s to 4lb coming shallow on pole and pellet and mixed catches being taken on caster, worm, paste or pellet fished down the near margin.  Best pegs are
7 – 11, 17 – 21 and 24 – 26.

GRATUITIES   A little slow for most with crucians and tench providing the best action on corn or meat fished long on the pole.  The carp are showing better to a small pellet feeder fished tight to the island.

ANNIVERSARIES   For mixed sport, Anniversaries has been very good with some cracking bags of skimmers, crucians, tench and carp being caught on pole fished pellet or paste.  The best areas have been the top end from pegs 1 – 9 and the lawn area on pegs 15 – 17.

WILLOW   Good all round sport with all the pegs capable of providing action from crucians, tench, F1’s and skimmers.  Pegs 5, 6 and 10 have been the best for carp with fish to double figures but predominately in the 3 – 5lb bracket coming to meat or paste.

SIBLINGS   The reed beds at the top end have been providing the better catches with tench and carp showing there in numbers.  Meat or corn float fished close to the reeds is the best tactic.
