REPORT

MOLANDS   Fishing well with match catches to over 50lb and pleasure nets exceeding this.  Scarecrow Point from pegs 42 – 48 has been the most consistent area with pegs 2, 10 – 15, 27 and 56 – 60 also worth trying at the moment.  Carp to double figures, F1’s to 4lb, bream to 4lb and tench to 5lb have featured in catches this week with pellet feeder to the island or pole fished hard pellet the top tactic.

GEARYS   In good form with the much milder weather seeing carp feeding more freely and match weights to over 90lb were caught this week.  Pellet feeder with meat or hard pellet on the hook is the best approach for carp.  Some good nets of skimmers and bigger bream have also been caught this week with bags to nearly 50lb coming to pole and pellet or corn.  Top pegs are 7, 9 – 13, 17, 19, 27, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   There has been good consistent sport on Little Gearys with F1’s to 4lb providing the best of the action with carp and skimmers also showing.  Pole fished pellet or dead maggot fished from the inside margin has been the top approach with pellet feeder also working.  Top pegs 3, 7 – 11, 17, 21 and 26 – 29.

WILLOW   Fishing very well with plenty of carp being caught close in on corn or pellet and method or pellet feeder fished to the island is also accounting for nets of F1’s and carp with small pieces of meat on the hook working best.  Top pegs 1 – 3, 5, 6 and 11.

ANNIVERSARIES   The early pegs from 1 – 9 have been fishing well for mixed nets of carp, F1’s, skimmers, crucians and the odd tench.  Float fished caster or pellet has been the best approach.
