REPORT

MOLANDS   A steady week with match weights to 90lb+ including carp to 15lb and F1’s to 6lb being caught.  Shallow tactics such as pellet waggler or long pole and pellet have been working well and in the evenings, caster or meat fished down the margins is the top approach.  Best pegs are 2, 4, 10, 15, 27 – 31, 42 – 47 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS    Gearys was in good form for most of last week with lots of skimmers, crucians, small carp and brown goldfish coming to pellet fished short or down the edges.  The big carp are being caught on method feeder with the middle stumps producing the bigger catches and pleasure anglers reporting fish to 18lb in nets to over 150lb.  Top pegs have been 1, 9 – 13, 20 – 23, 27, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   For consistent sport Little Gearys takes some beating with F1’s to 3lb showing well all around the lake along with carp to double figures and plenty of crucians and skimmers.  Match weights to over 120lb and really good back up catches this week.  Shallow pole and pellet or down the margins with caster or corn have been the top tactics this week with the hot pegs being 7 – 11, 21 and 26 and 29.

GRATUITIES   Plenty of carp in the 4 – 10lb range coming out to surface baits or pellet waggler fished really shallow.  Good nets of crucians, skimmers, tench and small carp are being caught on float fished corn, pellet or caster.  Best pegs 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 15.

WILLOW   Pellet waggler or pellet feeder fished to the island is still the best approach during the day with F1’s and carp to 4lb coming to this.  Later in the day, corn or meat fished down the edge is catching the bigger carp with fish to 10lb showing.

SIBLINGS A   Corn, meat or pellet fished up to the middle island is accounting for good nets of carp to 8lb.  The F1’s are being caught down the middle on banded hard pellet over micros.  Best pegs are 1, 3, 9, 17 – 22.

SIBLINGS B   Short pole with pellet or caster is the best approach with catches of small F1’s and carp and the odd barbel being caught.

ANNIVERSARIES   Lots of F1’s being caught on short pole with expander pellet fished over micros or sloppy ground bait.  The fish are more spread around the pool and out and the best pegs are 1, 2, 6, 12, 15, 19 and 23.
