REPORT
MOLANDS   For the time of year, Molands is in really good form with good nets of fish being caught from all around the pool.  F1’s are providing the bulk of the sport with lots of quality fish from 1½lb – 2½lb being caught  close in down the edge or just down the first shelf the areas to head for with short pole and caster, dead reds or pellet all working well.  Carp also showing with pellet feeder working best with punched bread or Poloney on the hook and fish to 18lb were caught in the last week.  Top pegs have been 1 – 4, 10 – 19, 27 – 31, 42 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS   Fished a little harder this week with skimmers providing the best sport with long pole and caster or pellet fished over ground bait.  A few carp have been caught on the far side pegs from 28 – 36 the best area and straight lead and pellet or a small method feeder fished close to the islands giving the best chance of a few fish.

LITTLE GEARYS   Generally fished well through the week with match weights to 60lb and decent catches coming from most parts of the pool.  F1’s and carp are the main target with close in tactics working best.  Corn, worm or dead maggot fished over ground bait really close in to the margins has been a very effective tactic.  Top pegs 7, 10 – 17, 21, 25 and 29.

GRATUITIES   The fishing has slowed a little this week with anglers finding a little more persuasion is required with frugal feeding and light lines now working better as the water goes clearer.  Crucians, skimmers, tench and the odd barbel or big perch are coming to the pole at 6 – 11 metres.  Waggler with punched bread is picking out the better carp fishing as tight to the island as possible.  Top pegs 1 – 4, 8, 11 – 13 and 16.

WILLOW   Pellet feeder fished up to the island is the best tactic at the moment with punched bread, Poloney, expander pellet or dead maggot on the hook.  F1’s to 2lb and carp from 1 – 4lb have been giving decent sport to this tactic.  Top pegs 1 – 6.

ANNIVERSARIES   Anglers fishing Anniversaries have had plenty of bites with roach, skimmers, perch and F1’s coming to float fished maggot, caster or expander pellet.  Best pegs have been 1 – 9, 15 – 17 and 21 – 23.
