REPORT
MOLANDS   This pool is the pick of the pools this week with F1’s, carp and skimmers showing around the whole pool.  The silver fish only match on Sunday saw every angler catching lots of F1’s which didn’t count but showed that caster or maggot on the pole is the top approach at the moment.  Long pole with banded hard pellet fished on the deck or shallow is also accounting for plenty of fish as well.  Best pegs are 2 – 12, 21 – 29, 41 – 46 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS   Still not fishing to its full potential but the skimmers have started to show in numbers and there have been some good bags of carp caught during the week.  Bomb and pellet or corn/meat fished down the margin is best for carp with fish to double figures and pole with pellet or caster/worm has been better for skimmers.  Best pegs 7 – 11, 16 – 19, 29 – 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   Catches well down on previous weeks with the F1’s not showing in great numbers and nets to 60lb caught in matches but generally fishing a little harder than normal.  Pole with caster or maggot have accounted for the better catches fished close in down the near margin.  Best pegs 7, 11 – 15, 19 – 21 and 25 – 27.

GRATUITIES   One of the better pools this week, with carp in the 2 – 4lb bracket making up the bulk of catches and crucians and skimmers are also showing in numbers.  A small pellet/method feeder fished tight to the island is working best for the carp and pole with expander pellet for mixed catches.

ANNIVERSARIES    Plenty of skimmers, crucians and roach with the odd bonus carp, tench and a few barbel caught as well.  Small baits such as maggot, caster or 4mm expander pellet are working best float fished into the open water.

WILLOW   Pole fished pellet or small pieces of meat is catching good mixed nets of carp, F1’s, skimmers and crucians.  The bigger carp are still being caught later in the day, close into the margins with fish into double figures coming to meat or corn.
