REPORT

MOLANDS The water has gone a lot clearer making the fishing more difficult this week with the best tactics based around fishing the far bank across to the island. Pellet waggler, pellet feeder or method feeder have all accounted for catches of carp and F1s with nets to nearly 100lb. Pole and pellet on the deck at 13 metres is also worth a try. Best pegs are 2, 8, 10, 15, 25, 27, 37, 43 – 48 and 54 – 57.

GEARYS This pool has gone very patchy this week with good weights being caught on some areas and others very difficult fishing. Pleasure anglers fishing into the evenings have enjoyed the best of the action catching carp into high double figures off the top on dog biscuit or on the bottom with boilies or big pellets. In the matches, bomb and pellet or fishing down the margins with maggot or corn is best. Top pegs have been 9 – 13, 18 – 23 and 27 and 31.

LITTLE GEARYS The most consistent pool this week with good catches being caught all around the pool and 100lb catches in matches and pleasure anglers are reporting even bigger bags. Fishing down the margins is most successful at the moment with corn, caster, meat and hard pellet all working well. Method feeder to the island and shallow pole with jigger and pellet are also catching plenty of fish. Top pegs have been 1 – 9 and 27 – 30.

GRATUITIES Good mixed nets with skimmers, tench, crucians and small carp coming to caster or expander pellet fished on the deck at either five metres or long at 13 – 16 metres. The bigger carp are being caught off the top with fish to 15lb coming to bread, dog biscuit or big expanders.

SIBLINGS A Catches to 90lb this week with long pole fished up to the island feeding 4mm pellets and fishing meat or worm on the hook the best tactic. Plenty of ide and F1s are coming shallow to caster as well.

SIBLINGS B Good consistent sport being had on Siblings ‘B’ with lots of F1s along with carp to 4lb, tench to 3lb, crucians and the odd barbel. Pole with paste or pellet fished across to the far side or close in at five metres is the most prolific tactic.

ANNIVERSARIES Mostly F1s in catches to around 60lb, Anniversaries is still a little out of sorts. The best approach is to fish pellet, caster or maggot long in the open water, pinging 4mm pellet. A small feeder has worked well on the wider pegs with 1 – 10 and 19 – 27 in the best form.

WILLOW Very popular and has fished well over the past week with lots of carp and
F1s coming to shallow tactics such as pellet, waggler, long pole and pellet or plopper.
