FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Carp to 24lb were reported by carp anglers with plenty of double figure fish showing and boilies fished tight up to the island and later in the day saw the better fish caught.
In the matches bomb and pellet or corn/pellet fished down the margins accounted for nets up to 100lb. The best areas have been pegs 1 – 8, 23, 29, 41 – 46 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Fished a little tougher this week with match weights to just under 80lb best. Bomb with pellet, pole fished pellet or corn down the margins or long and method feeder to the middle stumps have accounted for the better match weights. Carp anglers have caught lots of doubles with fish just over 20lb best and boilies fished over PVA bags has been best but a few also coming from off the top on floaters.

LITTLE GEARYS Nets to 160lb in the week with big fish and carp showing well all around the pool. Pole fished pellet, corn or dead maggot fished down the margins has been the top tactic but method feeder to the island, bomb with 6mm pellet and long pole with pellet have all accounted for decent nets.

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures have been caught shallow or across to the island with a small method feeder or waggler with corn or pellet. There have been plenty of silvers and small F1s coming to maggot, expander pellet or caster fished over ground bait or micros. Best pegs have been 1, 6 – 9 and 15 and 16.

ANNIVERSARIES A little tough this week with the up and down weather making the water go a lot clearer. Nets to around 50lb were best with F1s, small carp and silvers making up those nets. Pole fished pellet or maggot shallow and on the ‘deck’, bomb with 6mm pellet and a small method/banjo feeder in the wider areas have been the top tactics.

SIBLINGS A Like a few of the pools high pressure has seen the water go quite clear and in turn made the fishing more difficult. Dobbing corn or pellet across to the island or down the margins has been the best tactic with pellet or maggot fished down the track also working.

SIBLINGS B Very up and down with nets to around 50lb best and the end of the pool on pegs
5 – 18 has seen the better catches. Pole fished pellet or maggot fished across to the far bank or down the inside margins has caught carp to 10lb and F1s to 6lb.

WILLOW Steady fishing all week with carp up to 15lb and F1s to 6lb showing on most pegs. Shallow pole with pellet or maggot has worked best for the F1s, corn or meat short or down the margins working best for carp.
