REPORT

MOLANDS With some heavy frosts and very unsettled weather the fishing has been very unpredictable on Molands with weights to over 60lb best. The F1s switch on and off but when they are showing, fish to 8lb have featured and pole fished maggot close in or down the first shelf has worked best. Carp to double figures have featured as well with waggler or bomb and pellet /bread the best approach.

GEARYS Carp anglers fishing boilies have caught fish to nearly 20lb this week. On the matches, weights to over 40lb have been best with bomb and pellet or hybrid feeder with wafter the best approach. Silver nets to over 20lb were also caught on pole fished caster or maggot.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished really hard this week with top weights in matches around 50lb but generally it has been tough on most areas. Bomb and bread or pole fished maggot from the margins are accounting for the best catches. The far side from pegs 7 – 13 and on the car park bank from 27 – 30 have been the better areas.

ANNIVERSARIES The F1s have slowed up and nets to around the 40lb mark have been best this week. Pole fished maggot or expander pellet fished over micros working best. A few bigger carp are showing in the top bags with corn, bread or pellet fished close up to any feature.

GRATUITIES Like all of the pools, it has been quite hard on Grats this week with silver fish producing the best of the action. There have been plenty of skimmers in the 8oz – 1lb range being caught on soft pellet or maggot. A few carp are coming to bomb/waggler with bread fished tight up to the island.

SIBLINGS A Very hard this week with the cool conditions seeing the water go clear again. Dobbing bread or pellet along the far bank has been the best tactic catching carp to 8lb and F1s. Pellet/maggot fished down the middle is also catching ide and F1s on some pegs.

SIBLINGS B The fishing has been very up and down this week with nets to over 70lb best but on some days it has been very tough. Pole fished pellet or maggot has been working best and later in the day they have been featuring better down the margins.

WILLOW Long pole with pellet has been the best tactic catching F1s and the odd carp. A small feeder to the island is also catching a few fish. Pegs 1 – 5 are in the best form.
