FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS The mild but very wet weather has continued through last week and the fishing on Molands has still been good with the new carp and bream showing on most areas as well along with big F1s . Match weights to over 60lb have been caught last week with pole fished maggot or pellet best but waggler and bomb with bread or pellet have also been worth a try. Pegs 1 – 29 and 44-48 have been the better pegs. Carp anglers have had fish to 17lb on boilies.

GEARYS Carp to 17lb have been caught by pleasure anglers fishing boilies or pop ups out to the middle stumps. In the matches its been tough this week smaller carp and skimmers have been the main target with pole and maggots or banded hard 4/6mm pellet. Bomb and bread fished at range has picked up a few better sized carp for the match guys. The better pegs have been 7-13 on the high bank or from 21-27 at the far end.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little better this with nets to around 90lb best. Big F1s to 6lb have still been the main target but plenty of carp also showing and fish to 15lb are being regularly caught. Pole with pellet or maggot has been the top tactic with bomb and bread or maggot feeder also worth a try.

ANNIVERSARIES Although its been a little harder this week fish are being caught from all areas of the pool with small carp and f1s making up the catches . Bomb with pellet, long pole with maggot or pellet and maggot feeder have all accounted for plenty of bites and nets to 40lb.

SIBLINGS A Fished very patchy this week with nets to around 30lb best of mainly F1s or small stockie carp with the odd carp to 10lb. Dobbing bread down the margins or along the island has been the top tactic but maggot or pellet fished down the middle is also working.

SIBLINGS B Fished a lot harder this week with nets to 40lb+ winning matches . Pole fished maggot or pellet fished down the middle and dobbing bread to the far bank have been the better tactics last week

WILLOW F1s and carp being caught in nets to 40lb. Long pole with pellet, maggot or corn has worked well but waggler with pellet or a small maggot/pellet feeder to the island is also worth a go.

GRATUITIES Steady sport with carp to 10lb, small F1s and plenty of quality silvers being caught. Pole fished maggot or expander pellet has been the top tactic with waggler or bomb and bread fished to the island is picking out the better fish
