FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Still fishing a little hard this week with nets to around 90lb with the f1s still not feeding great in the bright sunshine. Carp to 21lb have been reported by pleasure anglers fishing boilies across to the island and they have also caught plenty of double figure fish dropping bait right next to the platforms later in the day. In the matches, best tactics have been method feeder with wafter to the island or bomb/waggler and pellet or short on the vpole with baned pellet

GEARYS Gearys has been in great form this week with match weights to over 250lb and plenty of good back up catches. Carp anglers have had fish to 20lb with surface baits best for the bigger lumps. In the matches, waggler or bomb with pellet, long pole with 6mm hard pellet and fishing down the margins with dead reds or corn have been the top tactics.

LITTLE GEARYS Match weights to 100lb were caught in the matches but it has been a little tough on Little Gearys with the F1s not feeding as well in the bright sunshine and hot temperatures. The best approach has been method feeder or bomb/waggler with pellet fished tight up to the island or down the margins with corn, pellet or dead maggot. The best pegs have been 7 – 15 and 23 – 29.

GRATUITIES Good mixed bags coming to pole with maggot, meat or soft pellet with carp to 8lb, F1s to 3lb, skimmers to 3lb, crucians to 2lb and the odd tench. The bigger carp are coming to bread or dog biscuit fished on the top. The better pegs have been 1 – 8 on the near bank.

ANNIVERSARIES Fished a little tough in the heat with nets to 60lb bestl. Carp to 10lb and F1s to 6lb were the main target with pole fished paste, corn, pellet or caster with the shallow end and on the ‘deck’ tactics both working. On the more open pegs, bomb or waggler with 6mm pellet has been good.

SIBLINGS A Fished well all through the week with carp and F1s showing on most pegs. Nets to around 175lb were the best reported with shallow caster or pellet fishing down the middle, ground bait or dead maggot across to the island and down the margins. Mugging tactics have accounted for the bigger carp up to 15lb.

SIBLINGS B In great form with nets to over 170lb with plenty of F1s in the 2 – 4lb range along with a few carp up to double figures. Pole fished caster, either shallow or down the margins has been the top tactic but corn fishing over micros and pellet have also been successful.

WILLOW Good sport all week with carp, F1s and plenty of silvers showing from all around the pool. Waggler or feeder to the island, maggot, caster or hard pellet fished shallow or down the margins and paste at five metres have all accounted for decent nets.
