FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS The much cooler and flat conditions made the fishing difficult but a restocking of carp from 12oz to 2lb saw some areas much livelier. Nets to around 60lb were best last week with pole and pellet/maggot or bomb with bread or pellet the top tactics in matches. The carp anglers have had fish to nearly 20lbs with popped up boilies working best.

GEARYS Despite the cooler weather, sport on Gearys has been ok with carp to 18lb in nets to 70lb. Bomb with bread or 8mm pellet and pole with maggot or corn has been the best tactics in matches. Carp anglers are fishing boilies with a PVA bag out to the middle stumps and catching well. Like all of the pools it was restocked with small carp this week.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little tougher this week with nets to nearly 60lb best. Maggot feeder has started to work well but pole fished maggot close in or out to 16 metres has been the top tactic with banded hard pellet also working. In the afternoons, maggots fished down then margins have also worked well on some pegs.

GRATUITIES Lots of bites if you fish maggot with some nice skimmers and quality roach being caught from all around the pool. The carp are coming to bomb and bread or corn fished across to the middle island with fish to double figures coming to this.

ANNIVERSARIES Steady fishing on areas this week with nets to 60lb, mainly of F1s but a few nice carp and big ide also being caught. Pellet or maggot on the pole has been the top tactic but banded 6mm/8mm on the bomb in the open water has also accounted for some nice fish.

WILLOW Fished better this week plenty of carp and F1s showing. Pole with maggots, pellet or corn fished down the middle has worked best with waggler or feeder to the island also catching.

SIBLINGS A Fished better this week with the new fish showing well and encouraging the resident fish to have a go. Dobbing bread across or down the near margin has been best for the bigger fish with maggot or pellet fished short working well for numbers of smaller fish.

SIBLINGS B Like most of the pools the water has now cleared and the majority of fish are sitting in the deeper channel down the middle or across near the features on the far side. Dobbing bread or corn has been good but the best tactic is fishing maggots down the middle with nets to 45lb, mainly F1s but the new carp are showing to this as well.
