FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The carp anglers have caught plenty of fish into double figures with surface baits accounting for most of them but a few have come to the method and boilies fished to the island. Waggler and pellet have worked well for the pleasure anglers and down the margins. In the afternoon and evening the fishing has been really good for F1s and carp nets to 100lb, although it has been very patchy with the hot weather.

GEARYS Anglers have been reporting catches of up to 25 carp with lots of double figures. Pleasure anglers have been enjoying good sport off the top with bread or dog biscuit. The matches started this week and method feeder with dead red maggot and bomb with 8mm pellet were the top tactics.

LITTLE GEARYS Still probably the most consistent pool with nets of F1s to 100lb. The fishing has been a little patchy this week due to the very high pressure and temperatures. Long pole with pellet, slapping or a small method feeder to the island has been the best tactic during the day. In the evening, corn or paste down the margins was best.

ANNIVERSARIES Decent sport to be had, especially at the top end where carp and F1s have been showing well on pegs 1 – 6. Pole fished pellet, corn or paste are all working well at the moment.

WILLOW Always very popular, Willow has been fishing very well this week with consistent sport to be had from all pegs. Carp to double figures, F1s to 5lb, skimmers, tench and crucians have all been showing well.

GRATUTIES It has been a little tough on Grats with catches to around the 50lb mark made up mainly of carp from 2 – 8lb but the odd bigger one showing to waggler with corn or pellet and fishing down the edge with corn over micros the best tactics.

SIBLINGS A Very up and down this week, one day fishing fantastic and the next really difficult. Pole fished paste or pellet down the middle or along the margins is the best approach with shallow maggot or pellet also worth a try.

SIBLINGS B The best of the two Siblings pools with nets to 80lb caught this week mainly made up of F1s but the odd carp also showing. Paste, pellet or corn fished over micros has been the top tactic.
