REPORT

MOLANDS Molands was in good form for most of the week with plenty of 100lb+ catches by match and pleasure anglers. Carp to 15lb and F1s to 6lb have been making up the bulk of catches. Pellet or caster fished shallow has been the top tactic for F1s and bomb/pellet or method feeder fished tight to the islands is working well for carp. Best areas have been pegs 6 – 10, 15, 19, 21, 27 – 35, 41 – 46 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Fished well through the middle of the week but was quite hard at the weekend. Top weights have been up to 120lb+ but the average catches have been a lot less. Bomb with 8mm pellet or wafters, method feeder with boilies/dead maggots have been the best baits for carp to 16lb. Skimmer nets to 40lb have come to pole fished caster and worm.

LITTLE GEARYS Good consistent sport all week on Little Gearys with plenty of 100lb+ catches and good back up weights. Shallow pole with pellet or caster is the outstanding tactic but good nets also coming to the method feeder fished to the island and down the near margins with corn or paste.

GRATUITIES The pegs at the end of the pool from 6 round to 10 have been best with plenty of carp in the 4 – 6lb range being caught there on pellet waggler or pellet feeder. Mixed nets and the odd carp are coming from the other pegs with caster, maggot or expander pellet doing best.

SIBLINGS A Siblings A has been a lot better this week with nets close to 100lb coming out. F1s, carp, ide, skimmers and tench all showing well. Shallow tactics are working best with maggot or pellet on the hook and feeding plenty of 4mm pellets. Later in the day, some decent carp are being caught down the margins on paste or meat.

SIBLINGS B Consistent if not spectacular sport to be had with lots of F1s coming to shallow pole and pellet or paste fished down the middle. A small pellet feeder fished across to the far bank is also scoring well.

WILLOW A very good this week with lots of F1s to 4lb and carp to 6lb being caught along with the odd double figure carp. Fishing tight up to the island or down the margins has been the best approach with pellet waggler, pellet feeder and pole with paste all catching.

ANNIVERSARIES F1s and small carp are being caught on all pegs with nets to around 60lb best this week. Pole fished pellet, corn and maggot have been accounting for most fish but on more open areas a small pellet feeder has been working well.
