REPORT

MOLANDS It has been a cracking week for carp on Molands with fish to 22lb in catches of up to 20 fish or more with many of these caught into double figures. Bomb with boilies or pellet and off the top with dog biscuit or bread has been working best for the bigger fish. Match nets to around 120lb with the F1s switching off a little in the changeable weather and method feeder fished tight to the island has been the top tactic.

GEARYS Got better through the week with catches to 180lb caught in matches and there have been lots of decent carp up to 20lb being caught from all around the pool. The best approach has been the method feeder with wafters or small boilies on the hook. Long pole with 8mm pellet or bomb and pellet has also been working well.

LITTLE GEARYS Very consistent fishing at the moment with carp and F1s showing all around the pool. Match weights to 120lb have been caught with a variety of tactics working well at the moment. Shallow pole with pellet or caster, pellet feeder to the island and caster/worm or meat fished down the edges have all put fish into nets this week.

GRATUITIES Although not as popular as the other pools, Grats has been in decent form this week with the pegs on the far side fishing best. Carp into double figures and plenty in the 4 – 8lb range are coming out to surface baits or on the feeder tight to the island. Mixed nets are coming to caster or soft pellet fished down the middle.

SIBLINGS A The hardest of the pools at the moment with nets to around 60lb best and it has been a little patchy this week. Pegs 1 – 5 and 19 – 21 have been the most consistent with carp to double figures, F1s and ide showing to pole fished paste, pellet or maggot.

SIBLINGS B Good sport to be had on all pegs with carp and F1s providing the action. Pole fished tight to the far bank or even a small method feeder fished across has worked well but as the day goes on, the fish come close in and short pole has worked well with meat, paste or pellet.

ANNIVERSARIES Steady rather than spectacular with decent nets of F1s and small carp being caught from all around the pool. Pole fished paste, pellet or worm and caster have all worked well. The bigger carp are mainly caught from the top bays with floating baits or a method feeder fished tight to the far bank.

WILLOW Very popular at the moment with anglers enjoying good sport from carp, F1s, skimmers, crucians and a few tench. A small feeder fished tight to the island, pellet waggler or paste down the margins have all accounted for plenty of fish over the past week.
