FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS Fished really tough on Molands this week with nets to 70lb but for most it has been a struggle. The better nets have been caught by fishing tight to the island for carp and bomb/waggler with bigger pellet or method feeder the best approach. There has been a few nicer carp showing with fish to 23lb caught this week in matches and from the pleasure anglers.

GEARYS Still fishing ok with nets to nearly 130lb and carp to 20lb this week. In the matches bomb or waggler has been the best approach with shallow tactics such as slapping or mugging also producing. Pegs 12-19 has been the most prolific area. Carp anglers have caught using boilies with a PVA bag or off the top with oily floaters.

LITTLE GEARYS Slowed a little this week with the high pressure and hot conditions but nets to 100lb were caught.. Method feeder to the island, long pole with caster or pellet shallow and down the margins with meat, corn or pellet fished over micros have been the successful tactics. The top pegs have been 3 – 13 but f1s are being caught all around the pool.

ANNIVERSARIES Turned a little more patchy this week with the heat affecting sport with nets to around 50lb best with the top end pegs from 1 – 6 and 21 – 23 still providing the better action. Pellet or caster shallow, paste or pellet on deck and meat close in have been the best tactics.

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures have been showing with plenty in the 3 – 4lb range being caught. Waggler or feeder to the island with corn or pellet has been the top tactic for the carp. Nice nets of silvers are coming to maggot, soft pellet and caster fished over micros or ground baits.

WILLOW Probably the most consistent pool at the moment with F1s showing all around the pool and pole fished pellet or caster ,shallow and on the deck has been the best approach, A few bigger carp are being caught down the margins later in the day with fish to 19lb coming to paste, corn or worm fished over ground bait.

SIBLINGS A It has been a lot tougher this week with nets to around 60lb. Carp to 15lb and F1s to 5lb have provided the main action with caster fished shallow or dead maggot across to the island and down margins fished over groundbait. Paste anglers have enjoyed success fishing down the middle with green swim stim on the pole working well.

SIBLINGS B Like all of the f1 dominated pools its been a little harder with them switching off a liitle but nets to 75lb were caught with most anglers enjoying reasonable sport . Paste, caster shallow and meat have been the better baits at the moment with 5- 10 the best area
