FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS Fished a lot better this week with weights in matches to over 150lb and the F1s have switched on again and also some cracking carp caught up to 18lb. Top tactics have been shallow pole and caster or method feeder to the island for the F1s and the carp are coming to boilies fished across to the island or down the margins. Best areas have been pegs 2 – 8, 27 – 31, 41 – 45 and 52 – 58.

GEARYS Another pool that saw an upturn in sport but still a little patchy in areas. Carp to nearly 20lb fished in catches to over 100lb with bomb and pellet, method feeder and pole fished banded 6mm pellet accounting for good nets. Pleasure anglers caught lots of carp off the top on dog biscuit or bread.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished hard through the week but there was an improvement at the weekend. Catches to around 90lb best but the F1s were showing on most pegs and shallow caster or meat down the edges were the best approach. Carp to 18lb were caught by carp anglers fishing boilies and those fishing down the margins later in the day caught the bigger fish.

ANNIVERSARIES Very up and down this week but nets of F1s to and around 50lb were caught along with carp to double figures, ide and skimmers.

WILLOW One of the better pools this week with plenty of carp from 3 – 10lb being caught along with F1s, skimmers, crucians and the odd tench. Float fished corn or pellet has worked well along with a small feeder fished tight up to the island. In the evenings, paste and corn down the margins are accounting for the bigger carp.

SIBLINGS A Fished ok with nets to over 70lb caught mainly made up of carp and F1s. Fishing right across to the island and down the margins have been best with dead maggot, corn or pellet the top baits.

SIBLINGS B Good all-round fishing with mainly F1s but carp, tench, skimmers and ide also showing. Shallow pole with caster or pellet has been the top tactic but corn or meat down the edges has also worked well.
