FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Really picked up this week with some good match results with weights to 180lb+ and lots of back up catches to 100lb+. Carp to 23lb have featured along with F1s to 9lb, bream to 5lb and tench to 5lb. In the matches, method feeder to the island with wafter or dead maggot, short pole with pellet and down the margins with ground bait and fishing dead maggot or worm over the top. Carp anglers have found fishing pop-ups or boilies up to the island or down the middle have produced plenty of upper doubles and the odd 20lb+ fish.

GEARYS A little up and down this week but match nets have been caught to 185lb and a number of 100lb catches have also been recorded. Bomb with pellet has been the top tactic but pellet waggler, method feeder and long pole with 6mm pellet have also accounted for good nets.
Later in the day fishing down the margins with maggot over ground bait has caught some big fish. Carp anglers have caught fish to 20lb off the top with dog biscuit and or boilies fished over a bed of pellets or particles.

LITTLE GEARYS Nets to 100lb have been caught this week with steady fishing from all around the pool. A small method feeder to the island, pellet waggler, bomb with 6mm pellet, meat fished short or down the edges have all accounted for a few fish this week. Pleasure anglers fishing on the top with dog biscuit have caught fish to 20lb.

GRATUITIES Although not the busiest of our pools, Grats has offered some interesting fishing over the past week. The bigger carp are coming to the island or down the margins with corn or meat. There have been some nice mixed bags of F1s, smaller carp, skimmers and crucians coming to float or pole fished expander pellet or maggot over micros down the middle of the pool.

ANNIVERSARIES Not in the best of form with nets to 70lb best this week and F1s with small carp making up the better catches. Caster and pellet have been the top baits fished shallow or on the deck. Pinging 6mm pellet is also working, fishing a waggler or bomb over the top. Best areas have been on the point at the top end from pegs 1 – 8.

SIBLINGS A Nets to 100lb+ made up mainly of carp and F1s have been coming out. Best tactics have been long pole up to the island and dead maggot fished over ground bait or micros with corn or worm also working. Shallow tactics are also working with pellet or caster fished down the middle.

SIBLINGS B Another pool in decent form with lots of F1s showing on all pegs and nets to over 100lb+ were recorded. Caster is still the top bait but maggot, pellet and corn have all caught plenty of fish. Best tactic is to fish close to the overhanging cover on the far bank or down the margins.

WILLOW F1s and carp producing the main action with pellet waggler or method to the island, shallow pole with pellet and down the margins with meat, corn or paste all catching. Best pegs have been 1 – 5 and 10 – 13.
