FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The much colder weather has mad the fishing much more difficult with pole or waggler and hard pellet accounting for the better nets and weights to 80lb were seen but generally it has beedn more patchy. Meat down the margins has also caught t of carp and f1s later in the day. The biggest carp reported this week was a 19-6 mirror from peg 23. .The best pegs have been 1-15 and 43-60

GEARYS Carp anglers have reported catches of up to 25 fish including lots of doubles and the odd fish to just over 18lbs with tuna /fish flavoured boilies out to the middle stumps or close to the islands best. In the matches nets to 90lb were caught but the fishing has been a lot harder this week with night frosts badly affecting sport. Method feeder to the sumps has been the top tactic with wafter or dead maggot on the hook.

LITTLE GEARYS The top end of the pool has been best with pegs 1-11 and 25-30 producing the most consistent form with nets to around 50lb best. Meat has been the top bait fished short at 4m or down the margins with waggler /bomb and 6mm pellets also worth a go..

ANNIVERSARIES Match and pleasure catches to 40lb were caught and the pool has been showing consistent form from most areas. Pole fished caster, pellet or meat is catching f1s from 1-4lbs carp to 10lb and plenty of silvers including Ide to nearly 2lbs

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures have been caught on waggler and bomb with 8mm pellet fished to the island. The margin sport on the corner pegs has been really good with worm or meat catching lots of carp and f1s. For those that like the silver fish nets to 25lb of nice sized roach and skimmers are being caught on maggot or caster

WILLOW Pegs 1-6 have been the best pegs with anglers catching carp to double figures and f1s to 5lb in nets to 50lb +. Shallow pole with pellet and waggler with pellet have been the outstanding tactics but anglers have caught on most methods.

SIBLINGS A Fished much harder this week with match and pleasure anglers reporting catches to 50lb. Corn or meat down the margin or maggot/pellet down the middle and banded 6mm pellet across to the island have been the best tactics .

SIBLINGS B Nets to around 60lb were caught with most pegs around the end of the point giving good sport from f1s from 1-4lbs. Pellet ,meat ,maggot or caster fished short or down edges has been the way to go.
