REPORT

MOLANDS For the first time in a few weeks there were really good signs of an improvement in fishing on Molands with the F1s switching on and catches to 100lb have been caught. The bigger carp have also been showing well with fish to 19lb 8oz weighed in matches this week and pleasure anglers reporting fish to over 20lb. The best tactics in matches have been bomb and pellet to the island, method feeder/pellet feeder to the island or pole with pellet at 6 – 13 metres. The bigger carp are coming to boilies fished on the lead.

GEARYS Sport improved through the week with plenty of 100lb+ catches caught along with lots of cracking sized carp up to nearly 20lb. The afternoons are definitely the best time to fish with carp feeding better later in the day. Margin fishing has been good with dead reds, worm over ground bait or corn and micros also working well. Method feeder and bomb with pellet have also been catching plenty of fish.

LITTLE GEARYS Like most of the pools the fishing has improved this week with match nets at 130lb caught along with some decent sized carp up to 17lb. The better carp are coming to waggler and pellet fished across to the island shallow, on the deck or down the margins with corn, meat or worm over ground bait. The F1s are still coming to shallow tactics with caster or pellet at 13 metres best.

SIBLINGS A The most consistent of the two Siblings pools with carp and F1s showing on all pegs. Carp to double figures have featured and pole to the island with dead reds over micros is working well for carp. Pole and pellet or maggot down the middle is best for the F1s.

SIBLINGS B Catches to around 50lb best this week with pellet or small pieces of paste working well fished over micros. F1s provided the best of the nets but carp, ide and tench are also being caught.

GRATUITIES The far side is fishing better with carp to double figures coming to a small pellet/method feeder fished tight to the island. Decent nets of silvers to be had on caster or maggot fished over ground bait down the middle of the pool.

ANNIVERSARIES Pleasure anglers have been catching carp to 15lb off the top with dog biscuit or fishing the method tight to the far bank or islands. F1s have provided most of the action in matches with pellet, caster or maggot fished on the pole working best.

WILLOW Still very popular with decent catches being caught from all around the pool. F1s, carp, skimmers, tench and crucians are making up the nets with pellet waggler, long pole with pellet fished shallow and down the margins with paste or corn all working well at the moment.
