REPORT

MOLANDS   It has been very patchy on Molands this week with the fish spawning at the beginning of the week and the very changeable weather all making it fish a lot harder.  Lots of fish up in the water and shallow tactics have scored best with the pellet waggler, candle or long pole and pellet all catching a few.  Carp to 15lb, F1’s to 4lb and, skimmers to 3lb have all featured in nets to around 60lb.  Top pegs are 2, 8, 12, 27, 43 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS    Match weights to 70lb best this week but pleasure anglers fishing into the evening have enjoyed the best action with carp to 18lb and lots of doubles coming to corn or meat down the margin or on the top with dog biscuit or floating bread.  The skimmers are starting to show a little better with catches to over 40lb on worm or pellet.  Top pegs 1, 7, 11 – 13, 16, 19 – 21, 30 and 31.

LITTLE GEARYS   Weights are down on previous weeks but fish are being caught all around the pool and match weights to 60lb have been caught.  Shallow tactics are working well with long pole and pellet or caster the top tactic with pellet waggler or candle also worth a try.  Plenty of fish are coming down the edges later in the day too.  Top pegs 5, 7 – 12, 15, 19 and 27 – 29.

GRATUITIES   The carp have slowed a little but there have been tremendous bags of crucians coming to pole and paste fished short at 6 – 8 metres with the odd bonus tench or carp showing to this as well.  Best approach for carp is to fish down the edges with corn or meat.  Top pegs are 1- 4, 8, 9, 12 and 16.

WILLOW   Fishing well for F1’s and small carp with pellet or method feeder fished up to the island working well.  Float fished corn or meat close in to the near margin is also doing really well.  Best pegs 1 – 5, 8 and 12.

ANNIVERSARIES   Carp were spawning at the start of the week with the F1’s, silvers and tench providing the best action this week.  Float fished corn, pellet or caster are all catching well.  Best pegs are 1 – 9, 12, 15 and 23.
