REPORT

MOLANDS Switched into winter mode and the fishing can be hard one day and great the next with F1’s the main target at the moment. Maggot feeder fished three quarters way across on long pole with maggot or expander pellet have been the best tactics this week. The most consistent area has been around Scarecrow Point with 42 – 46 the top pegs.

GEARYS The high bank area with skimmers, roach and the odd small carp and tench are being caught in nets to 30lb. Long pole with expander pellet, caster or maggot fished over ground bait is the best tactics. Carp have been thin the ground but a few were caught on bread or boilies on the bomb.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little better during the week but catches were well down at the weekend as the F1’s switched off completely. Maggot feeder or pole and maggot at 12 – 14 metres has been the best approach.

GRATUITIES Carp are coming to bomb/waggler and bread fished up to the island and fish to double figures have come to this. Pole and pellet or maggot has accounted for decent nets of silvers with bream and roach showing well last week.

ANNIVERSARIES Decent sport with F1’s showing around the pool but the top end has been the most consistent with pegs 1 – 6 and 19 – 23 in the best form. Pole and pellet or maggot is the best approach.

WILLOW Like all the pools, it has been a little up and down this week with catches to 40lb on some days and the best approach has been dobbing bread around the margins or over to the island on the pegs that reach. Waggler and bread/pellet is also catching F1’s and carp.
