Last week 41rods caught 237 fish for an average of 5.78.

The fishing has been really good last week with both bank and boat anglers enjoying success.

The biggest fish of the week was a rainbow estimated at 12lb caught by venue regular Rod Lacey of Nuneaton who was fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and he caught it on a Diawl Bach fished on a floating line.  Mr D Bayliss of Kidderminster also fished from a boat on Cocks Close and he caught a total of eight fish with the largest going at 8lb 2oz and these all came to a Buzzer fished on a floating line.  Mr C Daykin of Rumsley was fishing catch and release and he tempted eight fish to over 5lb on an olive Damsel Nymph fished on a floating line.  Dave Bratby of Birmingham had a good day on the bank of Cocks Close catching 12 fish to 4lb using a small Cats Whisker and a Bloodworm pattern.

The top flies have been Cats Whisker, black or olive Buzzer, Bloodworm, Minkies, black Tadpole, Diawl Bach and Montana Nymph.

The fish are spread around the pool better now with the hotspots being the high bank and the sand bank of Cocks Close.
