Following a successful England U20s assessment/trial day held at Larford Lakes on Saturday 6th April, the Sensas Team England U20s squad have been selected for this year’s World Championship.

The FIPSed 33rd U20s World Youth Championship will be taking place at Ciudad Real in central Spain on the El Vicario Reservoir on 10th/11th August 2019.

This year’s World Championship is expected to be exceptional with most sections expected to produce weights of 25 to 30 kilos, with the main species made up of small carp, carrassio and catfish.

Steve Sanders, Sensas Team England U20s Manager stated “This year’s squad contains two anglers retained from last year’s U20s team and joining them are three new faces. Two of whom have progressed through the U15s England Youth squad and another angler who has been part of the Angling Trust Talent Pathway Scheme.”

“After some good fishing results and talent at the recent assessment/trial day I am confident that this squad selected can do very well to get back onto the podium after missing out finishing in fourth place last year in the World Championships on the Cavo Lama canal in Italy.”

Sensas England U20’s Youth Team are;
Jordan Holloway, aged 19 from Bewdley
Jack Damant, aged 18 from Needham Market
Rob Swan, aged 18 from Carlisle
Will McCranor, aged 16 from Solihull
Josh Newman, aged 16 from Sleaford

The Angling Trust wish the Sensas Team England U20s all the best of luck this year in the World Youth Championships and would like to thank Sensas for their continued sponsorship and support of the team.
