Shaun Boulter braved sub zero temperatures for an overnight session at Shatterford Lakes and was rewarded with a brace of surprise sturgeon.
Despite the temperatures plunging to minus five on Friday night, fish were still crashing on the surface and so Shaun opted to fish a ‘zig rig’, which meant tying up (and casting out) a 25ft hooklength. He was rewarded with seven runs, and although only connecting with two of them, both the fish landed were sturgeon at 15lb 3oz and 13lb 12oz.
