Despite the lake being part covered in ice at the start of the match and the extra anglers it fished well. Richard Allen fished the waggler and maggot up in the water at the side of the small island in front of peg 54 not feeding anything he landed 30 carp – 7lb for 85lb 10oz catching steady throughout the match finishing with over 40lb to spare. In second spot Lee fished the pole and pellet at 16m tight to the island at peg 45 for 20 carp – 4lb for a level 45lb.
