Gale force winds made it near impossible to present a bait on the Maunside and it was still hard on the usually sheltered Cavendish Lake. In first place Phil struggled to fish the pole and maggot down the inside margin for chub and small carp but in the last hour the wind died down enough for him to fish the far bank he had a chub – 1lb nearly every put out. Best on the Cavendish and 2^nd overall is league leader Mick Langton he was last on the lake with 90 minutes to go but a change to pole and corn fished down the margin he had 4 carp – 6lb and 10lb of skimmers on pole and pellet fished out for a total of 27lb 12oz just enough to edge Neil into 2^nd on the lake and third overall.

Keith again fished straight lead and meat cast to the island at peg 38 he loose fed very little corn and meat over the top with the catapult he had 25 carp – 8lb steady through the match ending with another ton plus net of 106lb 4oz. 2^nd place went to Christian power alternating pole and feeder and pellet at peg 4 he finished with a cracking November weight of 78lb 15oz consisting of 19 carp – 7lb

Slightly milder conditions brought the fish back on the feed, though they always feed where Dave Madin draws, fishing pole corn and pellet at peg 17 Dave fed pellets and ground bait on 2 lines, it was nearly an hour before he had his first bite then it was a bite nearly every put out for the next 4 hours landing 19 carp -8lb and weighing in 92lb 9oz. 2^nd place Dave Lane fished the pole at 14m into the bore at peg 31 loose feeding pellets he caught over 30 carp – 4lb on meat, corn and pellet.

A bonus 6lb carp and one at 3lb helped Jim to the top of the list fishing pole and pellet over pellets at 12m he had a net of skimmers – 1lb = the carp steady through the match. In 2^nd place and winning for most of the match Neil also fished pole and pellet for skimmers – 1lb
