A frosty start to the match made a slow start but when the sun got up so did the fish, Kev Parks made the most of the end peg draw fishing pole down the margin, feeding pellets he had 13 carp – 8lb alternating sweet corn and worm he weighed in a level 86lb. Second place Pete made the most of peg 31 not being used and fish 17m of pole into it, he had 27 carp – 5lb all on the pellet over pellet.

Despite the horrible windy and snowy conditions the lake fished very well with nothing separating the top two, Pete Hodgetts had one more carp than John but weighed in exactly the same 74lb 2oz he fished a small feeder with pellets in and corn hook bait cast to the small island at peg 41 he finished with 18 carp – 7lb. Also fishing the feeder because of the conditions John cast it to the aerator with meat on the hook he had 17 carp also to 7lb, third went to Christian Powers with 25 carp on the feeder and corn cast to the island.

A change to the Sherwood Lake for this match and the three flyer pegs made the top three, Craig drawing peg 41 with the wind going the right way for him fished pole and pellet he caught from the start to the finish ending with 68lb 2oz of skimmers and tench – 3lb and 6 carp – 4lb, 2nd placed John had a similar catch to the winner on the same method, and 3rd place Steve had an all skimmer net with his biggest fish being just 12oz from end peg 60 all on the pole and pellet.
