Weights are starting to pick on the commercial fisheries, although a cold easterly wind in the last couple of days has knocked things back a bit.

The last week has seen five ton-up winning weights at Tunnel Barn with pellet, red maggots and bread all being responsibly for wins. Two of those successes have gone to venue regular and former fishery manager Pete Rice, who has been fishing expander pellet at 5m and 3m down the edge for F1s, bream and tench. His best bag of 127-5-0 came in the Wednesday event on Extension Pool from peg 21.
Manor Farm Leisure saw one of its matches won with over 100lb on the pellet waggler, which has to be a good sign that things are on the up.
