WE’RE delighted to report that the Littlehampton heat of the Penn-sponsored Boat Fishing Masters competition was won by our very own Adrian Farley (aka HA and Lexoos Lover).

Adrian caught bream to 2lb 8oz plus wrasse, garfish, mackerel, poor cod, pout and a blenny.

The species competition had a complicated scoring system of certain numbers of points for high and low value species, plus a bonus value for total number of species caught.

The winners of each of the 12 heats around the country fight it out in the final at Weymouth this October, with the prestigious title of Penn Masters Boat Champion at stake, so good luck to HA in the final.

Champion Caster Neil Mackellow was the host and the boat that found Adrian the fish was Steve Hipgrave’s Littlehampton-based ‘Jenifers Pride’.

Species king Adrian Farley with a fine black
bream and cuckoo wrasse, fish that helped him
to the prestigious final.
