Bob Nudd and John Bailey are just two of the star anglers’ appearing at the inaugural Burghley angling show in which there is£1000’s in cash prizes on offer to the best casters on the day and for overall winner. The show is part of the Burghley Game, Country & Angling Fair being held on May early Bank Holiday, 3, 4 & 5 May 2008

The angling show offers superb practical demonstrations and tuition from Tim Gaunt-Baker and the Salmon & Trout Association, the National Federation of Anglers (NFA) along with the Game Anglers Instructors Association! With guest appearances from leading UK & European anglers, including four time world champion Bob Nudd (MBE) and author and Total Course Fishing writer John Bailey. Other big names appearing at Burghley include Michael Evans, Carl Hutchinson, David Wolsoncroft-Dobbs, Charles Jardine and Carp legend Chris Ball. They will all be on hand to give expert advice, demonstrations and hands on practical advice.

The competitions form an important part of the Burghley angling show and plans are in place for everyone who wants to take part in a competition to be able to. The competitions cover both amateur and professional status.  Prizes will be awarded on each day culminating with the Open Spey Casting competition on Monday which carries a prize of £1000 for the winner.
