The Angling Trust Stillwater Champs is underway and the first round at Boddington on Sunday saw a cold wind push the fish well out into the reservoir, making fishing difficult.

There were a couple of good weights though – in fact the top three all came from the natural bank pegs 90-99 – and topping the field was David Howard, who fished Method feeder for 11 carp to 7kg in weight and a total of 62.220kg.
Second spot went to Telford’s Brian Ashley with 51.720 with Swann Baits’ Carl Barnfield third on 48.2kg.

The next qualifier takes place at Earlswood Lake in Solihull on June 8th.
