The UK’s biggest online match fishing club, Total-FishingClub.com, is putting up the fantastic prize of a trip to the World Championship for its 2009 club champion.

The club, which through its members has raised over £15,000 for the ACA over the last few years, is basing its year around six big matches at some of the country’s top commercial fisheries: Makins, Cudmore, Gold Valley, Larford Lakes, Lindholme and Barston Lakes.

The venues have been chosen to give a good spread across the country and dates have been booked to avoid any clashes with big events like Nationals and Fish ‘O’ Mania qualifiers. This is in addition to the club’s summer festival at the Glebe and winter festival at Stafford Moor.

The championship will be decided on the best four results from six matches (the festivals won’t count). The club champion will win a trip for two to the following year’s World Champs, up to a value of £1,000.

“We’re looking to move away from matches being just about money, but more about fun and meeting up with mates,” said Total-Fishing’s Gareth Purnell. “To that end medals and trophies will be more important than big cash prizes. If that strikes a chord with you, Total-FishingClub is for you.”

Anyone can join Total-FishingClub simply by going to www.total-fishingclub.com – the membership is only £15 a year.
