The latest round of the AT & CRT Stillwater Championship took place at the popular Earlswood Lakes with 25 anglers travelling to the venue from around the country.

Incredibly hot and still conditions made for very tricky fishing conditions with most of the resident carp reluctant to feed.

Winning on the day and qualifying from C section was Richard Edmonds with 23kg 560g.

Richard fished a combination of pellet waggler and method feeder for his commanding 5kg win.   Runner-up was Mick Slater from A section who amassed 17kg 240g.

Although Mick has already qualified he couldn’t resist another crack at the Midlands carp and had three specimen-sized fish for his total weight.    Completing the top three was Kerry McMahon who also qualified last round at Boddington. Kerry caught 11kg 540g which he had to work hard for on the pellet waggler and method feeder.
