Second was Ray Abbs on Croft 25 who fished pellet at 7m for a mixed net of small carp and silvers

Third spot went to Dick Clegg who also used pellet to good effect for his 37lb weight
4 H Barton, Sheffield, 28-10-0; 5 D Robinson, Retford, 26-14-0

Pete Bagshaw on outer 43 fished bomb and cone with sweet corn catching carp to 8lb for his 100-plus weight

Second was Stuart Else, also on the outer, who fished the pole at 9m with pellet and corn over pellet for carp and skimmers

Brian Sullivan’s net of carp was taken on bomb and cone with pellet

Neil Vernon was the winner on Moat today with 65-2-0 of carp and skimmers. His top 2 and 2 approach with pellet won him the match which in turn set him up for his £300 Golden Peg win

Pete Bagshaw came second fishing bomb and cone with corn on the hook for 53-12-0 of carp
