There are few, if any better zander stillwaters fishable on a day ticket than Bury Hill Fisheries’ Old Lake – a venue that gives you a real chance of a double figure specimen.

Two anglers who have the venue down to a tee are specialists Duncan Charman and Alan Stagg, and here in this programme from Coarse & Match Fishing Monthly, they set about showing you everything you need to know to catch a fish of your own.
The guys have worked out their own method for targeting these fish, with smaller baits and single hooks doing the business. And contrary to popular myth, they prove you can catch zander on sea fish baits.
The pair are into fish averaging 6lb almost straight away and go on to enjoy a real Red Letter day, bagging a double for the cameras among a load of fish, as we learn all about this mysterious species and how to catch, land and return them.
If you like to fish for predators, this enjoyable and informative show exclusive to Coarse and Match Fishing Monthly and available free to view in December’s issue here on this website is one not to miss. It part of The Session series available to www.fishingtv.com Premium members.
