REPORT

MOLANDS   It has been more difficult on Molands this week with high pressure and flat calm conditions seeing the F1’s switch off, although later sessions have been best.  Match weights to 70lb have been best with carp to double figures and F1’s to 6lb featuring in catches.  Waggler and pellet fished to the island is best for carp and maggot fished down the margins or in a maggot feeder have accounted for the better catches of F1’s.  Top pegs 2, 12, 15, 19, 25 – 29,

43 – 48 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS   It has been a lot harder on Gearys over the last week and it has been patchy, although the top weight has been 100lb.  Carp to 17lb have featured in nets and the decent skimmers to 3lb also showing.  Pole fished corn or pellet is catching mixed nets and boilies or bread on the bomb is also catching a few fish.  Top pegs 9, 12, 19, 20, 27, and 30 – 32.

LITTLE GEARYS    This pool has been a bit more consistent this week with nets of F1’s showing all around the pool and catches to 50lb are being caught from most areas.  The top tactic has been to feed maggots down the margin and fish pellet over the top.  Maggot feeder or a small waggler has also been working well.  Best pegs 5, 9 – 11, 15 – 21 and 23 – 27.

WILLOW   Good sport from most pegs with maggot or corn fished down the margins for carp and F1’s or a small feeder or waggler out to the island are all accounting for decent nets,  Best pegs 2, 5, 6, 11 and 13.

SIBLINGS A & B   Both pools have fished well this week with mainly F1’s providing the main part of catches but ide, carp, tench and skimmers are also showing.  Pole fished maggot, corn and expander pellet have all been working well and on Siblings A, pegs 3, 5, 9 and 16 – 22 have been best with pegs 5 – 11 on Siblings B the top pegs.

ANNIVERSARIES    The top end of the pool has been the best area with F1’s showing really well on pegs 1 – 4 with pole fished expander pellet or maggot accounting for the better catches.  Ide have been showing on the other pegs with maggot or caster fished shallow best for them.
