REPORT

MOLANDS Match weights to 100lb+ this week but the fishing has been a little patchy in the matches. Pole fished caster, meat or maggot fished close in at five meters or down the margins has been the best tactic with waggler/pellet or method hybrid and wafter also accounting for a few fish. Pleasure anglers fishing boilies or on the top with floaters have accounted for carp to nearly 20lb.

GEARYS Despite the cooler weather, Gearys has been in decent form over the past week with nets to 140lb in matches and good back up catches around the pool but especially in the shallow water at the far end. Bomb and pellet, hybrid/method feeder with wafter and fishing down the edges with corn, meat or paste have all been working well for carp to 18lb. Carp anglers fishing boilies have caught plenty of doubles figure fish as well.

LITTLE GEARYS The fish are definitely following the wind with the best catches on pegs
1 – 10 at the top end of the pool. Match weights to over 130lb have been caught to double figures and F1s to 6lb showing in numbers. The carp are coming well to waggler with 6mm pellets fished tight to the island or down the edges on meat or dead maggot. F1s are being caught shallow on caster or maggot.

GRATUITIES Lots of carp in the 2 – 4lb range being caught on corn or meat fished over micros. The bigger fish are being caught off the top on floating baits or later on down the margins. Nice silver fish nets are coming to caster or maggot fished down the middle.

WILLOW Carp to double figures are being caught off the top with oily floaters working well. Match weights close to 100lb were caught this week on the pegs that can be pole fished close to the island, producing on the pellet or worm fished tight up to the island.

SIBLINGS A Better this week with weights to nearly 80lb. Carp to double figures, F1s to 4lb and ide have featured in nets with pole fished paste, pellet or caster the best approach.

SIBLINGS B Consistent sport this week with lots of F1s showing along with the odd carp to double figures. Pole fished pellet, caster or worm best fished tight across to the far bank or down the inside margins. A small pellet feeder is also working on the wider pegs.

ANNIVERSARIES Fished a lot better this week with good nets of F1s and the odd bigger carp coming to paste, meat or pellet fished at 13 meters or 5 meters on the pole.
