FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Fished a little tough this week with nets to around 70lb best but there were a few 20lb+ carp caught and some big F1s to 8lb+. In the matches, bomb with 6 or 8mm pellet fished down the middle and long pole with 6mm pellet have been the better tactics. Later in the day, fishing down the margins with maggots can be very good. Carp anglers have found fishing tight up to the island or down the margins with boilies or big pellet best for fish to 20lb+.

GEARYS Still in decent form with nets to 120lb caught this week and good catches are coming from all around the pool at the moment. Method feeder with wafter or dead reds on the hook fished to the islands or middle stumps, bomb with 8mm pellet and down the margins with pellet or dead reds have been the top tactics.

LITTLE GEARYS Steady sport this week with nets to around 80lb at best but fish are showing on most pegs with carp to double figures and F1s to 6lb making up the better catches. Long pole with pellet, caster or maggot, either shallow or on the ‘deck’, waggler or bomb with 6mm pellet fished up to the island and down the margins with maggot, caster or banded pellet have all worked well this week.

GRATUITIES Fishing a little tougher as the water is starting to go a little clear. Silvers providing the best chance of sport with skimmers, roach, perch and chub showing to maggot or caster fished on the waggler or pole.

ANNIVERSARIES Still a little patchy with the top end of the pool from pegs 1 – 10 the most consistent. F1s to 4lb and carp to 10lb have been coming to pole fished pellet or maggot. On the wider pegs, waggler shallow or bomb and 6mm pellet have been successful.

SIBLINGS A Fished ok this week albeit a little patchy but nets to over 70lb mainly of F1s were being caught but there were a few double figure carp showing as well. Short pole with maggot has been the top tactic but dobbing bread or corn along the island and down the margins with dead reds or pellet has also been worth a go.

SIBLINGS B Good sport this week with catches to 100lb with mostly F1s in the 1 – 3lb range making up the catches. Caster or maggot fished on a short pole or down the margins has been the way to go. Dobbing bread along the far bank has accounted for a few carp and bigger F1s.

WILLOW Nice nets of carp, F1s and silvers are coming to maggot fished on the waggler or pole. The bigger carp are being caught down the margins with fish to 16lb featuring in catches and worm, corn or dead maggot over ground bait has been the best approach.
