FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS A mixture of night frosts then very heavy rain made the whole of the fishery a little unpredictable but there was still some nice fishing to be had with nets to over 80lb and carp to 25 – 10 caught in matches and Method feeder or waggler with pellet to the island, long pole shallow with caster or pellet and down the margins with maggot, worm or big pellets have been the top tactics . The most consistent pegs have been 1 – 10, 27 – 33 and 43- 60.

GEARYS Still in really good form for the time of the year with nets to 215lb this week with carp to 20lb+ coming to Bomb and pellet, method feeder to the middle stumps, short pole with 8mm pellet or down the margins with dead maggot over ground bait . The silver fish sport has still been really good with skimmers to 3lb and roach to 1lb in nets to 50lb+ coming to worm, caster or maggot fished over ground bait with the high bank in particular good form.

LITTLE GEARYS A little bit slower this week with nets to around 90lb best but carp to 15lb and f1s to 8lb have shown on most pegs with the most consistent pegs from 5-15. Top tactics have been a small method/pellet feeder or waggler to the island, shallow pole with pellet, caster or maggot and down the edges with worm, pellet or dead maggot fished over micro pellets or ground bait.

GRATUITIES A very quiet week on Grats with only the odd pleasure angler on there but nice nets were reported, mainly of silver fish which has been had fishing maggot, soft pellet or worm over micros or groundbait. Worm or corn down the edges accounted for the better sized carp with fish to double figures coming to this

ANNIVERSARIES A much slower week with nets to around 40lb best with the f1s shoaling in the more open pegs 6 and 17- 23. Best tactics have been long pole with pellet, maggot or caster on the ‘deck’ and shallow or in the open water with bomb or waggler and 6mm pellet.

SIBLINGS A Been a little patchy on Sibs A this week with nets to around 60lb best and winter tactics like dobbing bread along the island or down the edges are starting to work especially for the better stamp of carp. The f1s are coming to maggot or maggots fished down the middle with fish to 6lb showing to this.

SIBLINGS B Still the more consistent of the Siblings pools with catches to around 80lb being caught and most pegs giving anglers plenty of bites mainly from f1s to around 5lb but some nice carp also showing. Long pole dobbing bread or corn and short pole feeding maggots out of the hand have been the top tactics this week.

WILLOW Waggler with pellet/corn or a small feeder to the island has been working well for the better carp and f1s .Long pole with caster /maggot or banded hard pellet fished on the deck or shallow has also been catching plenty of f1s and small stocky carp .
