REPORT

MOLANDS Another week where ice has affected sport having been frozen for a few days last week. Despite this there have been some good nets to 60lb taken last week with F1s providing the bulk of the action along with roach, skimmers and the odd carp. Pole and maggot or expander pellet has worked best where ice breaking took place and maggot feeder when able to fish across to the island. Best pegs are 12, 19 – 29, 43 – 45 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS A very quiet week on Gearys with only a handful of anglers fishing on there. Carp were hard to come by but nets of skimmers to 20lb were caught along the high bank fishing best with cage feeder and maggot or pinkies accounting for fish to 3lb.

LITTLE GEARYS Still fishing quite hard with the weather not helping and catches to 30lb were best last week. Pole fished maggot, pinkies or soft pellet have been the best tactics for F1s to 4lb. Bes pegs have been 9 – 15 and 23 – 29.

GRATUITIES Nets of mixed silvers to around 15lb were best last week with pole fished maggot, caster or pinkies the best methods.

WILLOW Catches to 30lb were caught last week with mainly F1s and skimmers providing the most bites but a few carp to 10lb were also caught. Banded hard pellet, expander or maggot on the pole was the best approach.

SIBLINGS A & B With both pools very clear, fishing long on the pole to the far bank or island features has been the best tactic. Lots of ide, quality roach, F1s and even a few tench were caught last week.

ANNIVERSARIES Peg 2 is still the peg to fish with lots of F1s and roach showing on there to maggot or pellet fished at 9 – 15 metres. Around the pool, F1s to 2lb and a few bream to 4lb are coming to pole and pellet.
