Last week 48 rods caught 246 fish for an average of 5.12 fish per rod

It was a cracking week on the Trout Fishery with both bank and boat anglers catching plenty of fish with some quality fish coming out.

The largest fish of the week was a 11lb 4oz rainbow caught by Chris Flay of Witherley who was fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and he tempted it with a white Fritz Lure fished on a floating line. Rod Lacey of Nuneaton had a 10lb rainbow fishing with his favourite Diawl Bach on a floating line and it was the best of a 15 fish catch. Colin Hitchins of Coventry had an 8lb 4oz rainbow from a boat on Cocks Close and this fell to a white Lure. Paul Flanner of Worcester fished from a boat on Cocks Close and caught and returned 11 fish to just under 4lb and these all came to a combination of Buzzers and Leech Lures. Ian and Richard Reeve of Rugby fished Park Meadow and caught eight fish between them using small Cats Whiskers.

Top patterns have been Cats Whisker, black Tadpole, Bloodworm, black Buzzer, Fritz Lure, Gold Head Damsel and Diawl Bach.

The best areas have been the road bank and the old boat jetty corner on Cocks Close and the deeper water in the middle of Park Meadow.
