Last week 53 rods caught 215 fish for an average of 4.05 fish per rod

The biggest fish of the week was a 9lb rainbow which was caught by Mr J Askins of Bridgnorth and this was the best of a six fish catch, all taken on Cats Whiskers whilst fishing from the bank of Cocks Close. Brian Mason of Sutton Coldfield caught four from Cocks Close and included rainbows of 7lb 8oz and 7lb caught on a black Tadpole fished on a floating line. Alec Twaites of Coventry fished the bank of Cocks Close and caught eight fish to 4lb using Cats Whiskers on an intermediate line with most of his fish being caught around the lodge corner. Alex Kerr of Nuneaton fished from a boat on Cocks Close and took five rainbows and returned a further six which all fell to Martini Lures and a Bloodworm pattern.

The best flies have been Cats Whisker, Black Tadpole, Viva, Gold Head Damsel, Diawl Bach, various Buzzers and Bloodworm.

The hotspots have been along the high bank and the lodge corner on Cocks Close and the dam wall on Park Meadow.
