The Northern Angling Show launched in early 2013 with what has been described as ‘the best fishing show for years’. This December the event will be bigger than ever… a perfect day out for the whole family, located next door to the Trafford Centre, Manchester. Doors open 9am on both days and tickets are available on the door – £12 and £15 for concessions and adults, with entry to under 10’s free of charge!

Taking place on the weekend of December 7th-8th at EventCity, the show now boasts the biggest stars and celebrities of the sport as well as many of the major brands and manufacturers showing off all the latest tackle, bait and more. There will be more than 100 stands including all the major players from the coarse, match and carp worlds, plus a pole alley where anglers can try out the latest gear.
The Professional Anglers Association (PAA) will be manning one of those stands, offering free advice on how to improve fishing technics, inspiring potential young anglers to get out there and have a go, and dispensing general information on how to turn the passion for angling into an opportunity to teach others.
The PAA team will also be running a large tombola, with prizes kindly donated by Angling Trades Association (ATA) manufacturing members, and the money raised will go to the Angling Participation Fund.  This was set up by the ATA earlier this year to raise funds to support all types of angling projects across the UK. For anyone visiting the show, please visit the stand (number 143) and have a go at the tombola.  There are some fabulous prizes to win and you’ll be supporting your favourite hobby.

For more information on the show and to book tickets, visit, watch, follow on Twitter @Nanglingshow or join the Facebook page

People not planning to visit the slow can still support their favourite sport by downloading a new angling browser page for internet searches. Every time anyone uses this new page, it will activate a donation funded by a well-known internet giant.  These repeated donations will be collected in the Angling Participation Fund (APF) and be used to support angling projects and allied good causes across the UK.
