POOL REPORTS FOR THE WEEK ENDING 1st January 2012

Due to the warm weather, good bags of fish are still being caught all over the complex.  Mirrors and commons are still feeding.  F1’s are still the main target with plenty of silvers being caught too. The best bait at the moment is maggot and pellet.

Top Pool
White maggot feeder with to the island for f1’s up to 2lb.
Pellet or maggot or pellet on the deck at 6-8m for f1’s, ide, skimmers, roach and perch.
 
Bottom Pool
Method feeder with dead dead  bronze maggot is still producing large mirrors and common carp upto 8lb.
Pellet at 6m to 8m has been producing f1’s and silverfish.
Pleasure anglers have reported large bags of perch up to 2lb being caught on chopped worm.
Congratulations to Alan Darling who won off peg 8 fishing pellet at 6m down the track for a 42-11 weight of f1’s to 1.5lb.

House Pool
Small maggot feeder to the island has been producing good bags of large f1’s.
White maggot at 8m on the deck has been producing large bags of silverfish and f1 carp.
Pellet at 6m or 8m down on the deck for mixed bags of f1’s, bream, roach and carp.

Extension pool
Pellet to the island has been producing f1’s, mirrors and common carp.
Maggot at 4m to 6m on the deck with constant feeding has been catching large bags of f1 carp, skimmers and roach. 
Congratulations to Steve Townsend who won Wednesdays’s open from peg 33 with a weight of 78-12 with f1’s to 1.5lb.  He fished pellet towards the island at 11m.

New Pool
Pellet and maggot have been the best baits on this lake long to the island or @ 6m and down the edges.  F1’s and plenty of skimmers and roach are being caught.
Large perch are still being caught between pegs 18 and 23. 
Maggot fished over groundbait has enticed the big f1 carp to start feeding.
Congratulations to Stu Palsar who won Sundays open from peg 7 with a weight of 61-11.  In his catch were 2 commons one weighed in at 15-5 and the other at 10-3. The rest of the bag was f1’s to 1.5lb.  He fished pellet over micro pellet at 14m down the left hand bank and at 14m in the deep water straight out in front.

Canal Pool
In general pellet and maggot are the best baits at 6-8m and across to the island.
Mirrors and Commons are feeding and pleasure anglers are reporting f1’s upto 2lb
Good bags of silvers being caught.

Club Pool
4mm bread punch fished at 14m 3” off the bottom to the island on pegs 13-24 for mirrors and commons.  Pegs 1-12 are fishing well using this method for large bream and f1’s.
Stockies and f1’s at 6-10m down the track on pellet.
Pellet or maggot at 6-8m has been working well.
Congratulations to Richard Knowles who in the 6th round of the TBF winter league, drew peg 23 and won the match with a weight of 90-8.  His catch consisted of 50lb of mirrors and commons and 40lb of stockies.

Jenny’s Pool
Pellet or maggot to the island or at 6-8m down the track has been producing good bags of f1’s, silvers and mirrors.
Congratulations to Sean Huggins who won the Friday flyer with a weight of 74-9 from peg 24.  His bag was mainly f1’sto 1.5lb caught on pellet over micro pellet at 13m to the island.
