THE zander at Bury Hill fisheries have gone into something of a feeding frenzy, with no less than 12 into double figures reported in the last week!
Best fish reported to Total-Fishing is a magnificent stillwater fish of 15lb 10oz taken from peg 11, and in addition to the glut of doubles there have also been loads of fish in the 5-9lb range taken.
The front bank has been most productive, particularly the middle section pegs (10-15) although the deeper water pegs are also starting to produce. The lily swims on the long and island banks are also producing a good number of smaller fish. Jason Neville is pictured with a lovely fish of 15lb 1oz.

Charlie Morris fished float fished trout from peg 4 and took three zander including a personal best fish of 12lb 6oz.
Fishing six rods lengths out, Charlie had all his fish in the afternoon. Steven Mead fished peg 25 and took a great brace of doubles, consisting of fish of 11lb 2oz and 10lb 8oz together with three smaller fish. Steven legered roach deadbait into the deep water 20 metres out from the boathouse.
Colin Taylor fished the long bank lily swims with his son Nile and found plenty of action from the smaller zander and pike. Fishing roach dead bait under a float the father and son duo took eight fish to 9lb 11oz which was a personal best for Colin.
